no one really cares: and other life truths

When there's paths to choose in life or those annoying bumps in the road that provide you with the opportunity to change direction I've always wished for a "road map for life." Of course I would also look to my mother and grandmother as what they thought was the right decision, but more often than not they would always say that I had to ultimately choose. So difficult! What if I make the "wrong" choice? How do I know what is "right?" What if I don't like the choice I make? Can I go back? Why can't someone just tell me??

36 hours in boston

We had an amazing opportunity to take a free trip to see our very good friends in Boston one weekend- and we took it! Thank you to frequent flyer miles and blow up mattresses, we had the most wonderful action-packed quickest-longish-distance trips ever! We got to see historical sites, stroll through nature, enjoy freshly brewed drinks, and of course had plenty of sea food- including but not limited to a lobstah roll. (Sorry about the spelling, had to!) We finished the trip with a Red Sox win at Fenway! Read more for our Boston highlights itinerary.

living in hungary : things i learned

Szia! Amerikában vagyok! From my short attendance in Hungarian class I hope that reads, "Hi! I'm in America!" It's been quite some time since I was able to sit down and process my thoughts. Well let's be honest, I'm a total scatterbrain regardless so I suppose I can't blame the entire moving-overseas-with-three-animals-and-buying-a-house-within-one-week-of-touching-base-in-the-States process, but I sure can try!

make the best travel map

As I'm sure everyone is aware by all the photos that have been posted, I went on a week long fun-filled girl's trip to Amsterdam last month. (Obviously this is not Amsterdam above, it's Dubrovnik!) I nominated myself head party planner and got to work making a map that everyone could see on their phones. Color coded, of course! Filled with cultural things to do, restaurants and drink stops, and of course photo op locations! Below I'll share how I find all these things, and hopefully I share a new bit of advice or two to help you do the same.

how hungary happened

A little over two years ago, I got a phone call that would change my life as I knew it. It was a shock, followed by a complete overwhelming excitement, and then followed by a totally unnerving slew of "what ifs/hows/whens, etc.?"

content break

The world always demands "more, more." Does it ever simply tell you "you are enough." Good enough, strong enough, beautiful enough?

piękny polska

For the Mr.'s birthday, we took a road trip to his homeland as I call it. It was my first time to this country and his first time to explore work-free. Everyone kept saying, "you'll love it" but I didn't understand until I went. It was beautiful (piękny!) Poland, your fresh pierogies, handpainted pottery, and surprisingly delicious vodka got me. I loved it!

milano: espresso & art

Not too long after being home from our London and Thailand trips, Thanksgiving and the beginning of Christmas market season, I had another getaway planned. This time it was with my best friend! ::Squeals:: We met in a new city to both of us- Milan! A fashion and design capital of the world, this was a destination right up my alley! The theme of the week was #art, as you will see.

london was calling

After our two week trip in Thailand, we flew directly in to London for one more week of holiday. London is nothing unexplored for us, we travel at least 4 times a year for work purposes, but this time was super exciting. My family was meeting us!
